How does Beverly Drone Pilot manage costs?

At present, BDP is a one-man-does-it-all operation-- which also includes all of the design, management, and production of content for this entire website. This is a part-time, at-home labor of love with effectively no extraneous overhead costs. That means no marketing, no administrative, or other hefty expenses being rolled up and passed on to the clients.

At the same time, BDP can get you 80-90% of the shots while achieving perhaps 80-90% of the quality of a much larger operation at a fraction of the cost. As technology advances and evolves, greater and greater capabilities become available in smaller and less expensive equipment-- perhaps 80-90% cheaper than what was producing the same quality and offerings of just a few years ago. It is not a hard rule that you must pay a lot to get a lot in this day and age. That said, BDP will not suit everyone’s needs. But if you're looking for excellent quality web and social media-style content, and high resolution still photos that can rival nearly anyone's, BDP may be right for you. Take a look at the showreel and galleries and see if the quality meets your standards.

About the operator, Junyong Pak

Junyong is FAA certified under 14 CFR Part 107 for the commercial operation of small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). When choosing someone for your needs, it's essential to understand that there can be enormous differences in the quality, service, and offerings provided by your camera/drone operator in this relatively new realm of drone photography. Having the right equipment for the job is imperative. But past that, the operator should have a surplus of coordination far beyond the essential task of skillfully maneuvering the drone such that ample amounts of attention can be directed towards the task of actually capturing the best image. To achieve this, the operator should ideally have a deep understanding of the physics and fundamentals behind photography to be able to capture the shot in a technical, yet artistic and creative manner. To the unbeknownst, the quality of the end-product can often be greatly affected by the corrections and enhancements that are made in post-production at the hands of a skilled editor. The difference is typically night and day. As an avid photographer, long-time rotor-winged RC enthusiast, and general all-around tinkerer, Junyong can offer all of this in the form of a single-person team. And for him, flying is a hobby and not a task, which means he can do it for even less.

Junyong is a mechanical design engineer by trade and also operates a coaching and consulting business at
